READING IS IMPORTANT, YOU DON’T NEED ME TO TELL THAT.
BUT DO WE REALLY TAKE READING SERIOUSLY?
Do you buy a lot of books and the pile (of books) is getting bigger every day?
Each day we have many responsibilities in our daily lives. True.
We have our hopes and doubts; well – everyone has them.
We have our limitations and aspiration; – everyone has them too.
We have our strengths and weaknesses; surprise surprise- everybody’s problem.
But is it okay to use them as an excuse to avoid reading every day?
I heard people saying that, “I have a lot of problem in my life, so I can’t concentrate on reading”, “Not possible to find time and actually sit and read”, “who reads now?”
Fun fact – you need to simplify your problems.
Simple Problems Beget Simple Solutions – Abhijeet Banrjee & Esther Duflo
Barack Obama’s one of healthiest habit was reading, in fact throughout his presidency he never stopped reading. If we go through the lifestyle of some of the famous people, we will see – they spend at least one hour a day to read and learn. Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Jack Ma- in fact everyone read and learn every single day.
— Why is that? – I already spent maximum of my lifetime to complete my Graduation and I had read enough.
— What Can I learn from reading? – We need practical knowledge.
Partially True. We definitely need practical knowledge. But we can also learn a lot from reading- and implementing them in our life once necessary.
Elon Musk learnt how to build a Rocket by reading – he implemented his knowledge in Space Exploration Technologies Corporation later.
Let me tell you one surprising fact – Everyone has their own problems and struggles. We just have to find time for reading and improving ourselves, because the moment we stop, we lose.
