If you have a computer and basic knowledge to operate a computer, you can easily start working as a freelancer.
I started my freelancing career in 2009, with minimum knowledge. And I learned a lot from then till now. Within 4/5 months I started earning four digits a month. The best part was I was studying and working as a private tutor. As freelancing jobs offer flexible schedules, and you can work from home; so this is one of the best ways to earn passive income.
Below are some ideas you can utilize:
Data Entry
If you are good at numbers and have sufficient typing speed then Data Entry Jobs are perfect for you. Although this job is not very creative or glamourous, you’ll find this job very straightforward if you are a patient fellow. Before starting any administrative work, this is a great way to gather some advanced experience and also earn money.
Customer Service
A customer service representative provides a positive experience for customers through email, phone calls, or chat. As customer support and customer service are booming, people can find something that suits them almost no matter what their background is. You need to be at your computer or phone at a specified time, but you can still get to do this job from your couch at your home!
Tutor
If you are a problem-solving expert in any subject or didn’t find the GRE painful, you should look into working as a tutor. Through video chat, prerecorded video lectures, or via different online meeting app like zoom or google meet, you can help your students master their skills. To start, you can find your clients from a variety of locations around the world as long as you advertise your skills on different companies providing tuitions.
Translator
If you are an expert in multiple languages and you can write and speak different languages efficiently, you are in demand as a translator. Translating legal documents, articles. movie scripts, instructions, books curriculum, etc. can be an effective part-time job for you.
Photographer
Although people have powerful cameras on their smartphones, the job of a photographer hasn’t ended just yet. Now, with a studio at home, you can shoot portraits. Moreover, you can provide editing and retouching jobs from your home. With a large portfolio, however, you can be more casual now and sell your photos on different websites.
Illustrators
If you have a knack for working on fun projects, and you somewhat want to be less technical than a graphic designer, you can become an illustrator. The demand for a creative illustrator is on the rise, as you can work from anywhere and create images for projects like books, magazines, cards, advertisements, posters, murals, and web graphics, etc.
Logo Design
Numerous startups and clients that don’t have an in-house designer often look for a designer on the run. Different freelancing sites like Fiverr and 99 Designs are amazing places for finding your initial clients and thus, make a profile as a logo designer.
There are many more ideas which will be discussed soon. Upwork was my favorite as the payment procedure was flexible and simple.
